NEW ROAD PLAN DESIGN
It is Friday noon, June 1st and we just completed another session with Nakamoto Corp. and the mechanical/electrical engineer, Kinjo-son. We continue to move closer to finalizing the construction plans, increasing our appreciation for what the Lord did in just seven days!
The key question asked toward the end of our meeting was, “Just when can we expect grown breaking at the new site?” To which was responded, “It will be mid-August with possible completion within seven months.”
Now if that would occur, Easter Services ’08 will be in the new building! We ask for prayers in that direction to include the following additional concerns:
- The sale of the remaining land. We have had a few lookers but no solid offers to date. Just yesterday we met with Goya Baptist pastor, Tamori-sensei who expressed some interest in our land. They will met next week to discuss the feasibility of building on the remaining land after the sell of the two sites (Koza & Goya) to the Prefecture.
- The selection of a temporary site. We have submitted a letter to the MC Base requesting consideration to use a building on Foster. This has been done by other churches in the past and it would help considerably in reducing the overall relocation cost. We are beginning this week to empty out all trash within the building and plan to relocate sometime in September.
Finally, pray for the new families arriving over the next few months that they will catch the vision and participate in prayer and financial support for the relocation.
