Wisdom for leaders:
Church Staff: John Reimer, Tim Smith, Wendy Toups for wisdom and leadership
Bo Russel as he retires and preaches at Hawaii Baptist Convention in November
Additional Land for Parking and a good price for the land still for sale at our old site.
New Deacons: We are in conversation with four couples to consider serving as Deacon and Wife. Ask for God’s wisdom for the church leadership and families as we walk together toward this significant area of Pastoral Service.
Involvement of the right people in Service: That God would continue to lead people with specific skills, knowledge, drive and capabilities to join us in ministry at Koza.
Marriage Conference: Scheduled for 17-18 October.
Pray for couples to come and learn much about God’s plan for their marriages.
Pray that all child-care issues would be met in god’s timing.
Student Ministry:
That the Trunk-or-Treat event on the 31st of October would reach many people from Okinawa in our neighborhood and involve our members in a meaningful way.
Danny’s full recovery from recent surgery and the Toups future work in the States.
Church Council.
That the church council members would have unity and clarity from the Lord, esp. as they consider the 2009 programs and budget.
That our vision for the church’s future growth would clearly be from the Lord.
Move to two services and what format or remain with Status Quo?
1) Sat PM & Sun AM or 2) Sun at 8 and 11 or 3) Another Option
For the future ministries of Koza Baptist Church. That God would continue to work through KBC, our staff, members, programs, facilities, and that the entire congregation (present and future) would be sensitive to the leadership of God’s Holy Spirit.
God’s blessing and protection in all areas.
