Who are we: Koza Kids is a group of church staff members and servants who provide lessons and worship to children 1st through 5th grade at all three of the services at Koza Baptist Church Main Campus.
What do we do: Koza Kids uses the 252: Basics Orange curriculum to teach children basic life apps such as wisdom, self-control, service, etc. The curriculum shows children ways to apply the Bible to their life at their specific age, and how to use these life apps to show others the love of Christ. The three basic truths we want all children to leave Koza Kids with are:
-I should treat others the way I want to be treated
-I need to make the wise choice
-I can trust God no matter what
How do we do it: During the hour and fifteen minutes the children are upstairs, we provide a mixture of small group activities, large group activities, worship time, reading from God’s word, and games. Children are divided into small groups by grade level, and have age appropriate discussions and games provided by their leader during small group time. Power Up is our large group section, where children worship the Lord by signing, they hear parts of the Bible, and learn ways to apply God’s word to their own lives.
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
We believe the children of Koza are the future generation of the church and will be responsible for living people to Christ. Koza Kids Staff wants to partner with parents to provide this firm foundation that the children can lean on and continue to grow to be committed followers of Christ.
“ And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and men.” Luke 2:52
