At Koza, we’re convinced that all people matter to God and so we get excited when people just like you come to church. Whether you have been a Christ-follower for many years or you are just beginning to ask questions about faith we hope you will find Koza as a safe place for you and your family. We want you to be able to experience God’s love through great music, authentic worship, encouraging messages, and friendly people. Join us in one of our 3 services every Sunday.
What time are services?
We have services every Sunday at 8:30, 10:00, and 11:30 AM. Children's ministry is provided at each service for ages 6 months through 5th grade.
Are the services in English or Japanese?
The answer is both. Our services are in English but we offer "real time" Japanese translation through electronic hearing devices for our services here at Koza and for most events. Japanese translation is provided at the 10:00 and 11:30 AM services.
Think about it. Each book in the New Testament is about imperfect people, learning to love, forgive, embrace and relate with other imperfect people. Each book is saturated with relational language: forgive, serve, share, encourage, stimulate, build up, honor, respect, speak truth, be compassionate. Each book is at the core, a call to authentic, life enhancing and life-changing community. Our goal here at Koza is to move you from our Weekend, large group environment into smaller, more intimate environments where this type of community can be realized in your life. . We have community groups all over the island where you can plug in and find connection, friendship, and discipleship.
If joining a community group is too big of a first step for you then we also have several other medium size environments that may be a better "jumping in" point for you. We encourage you to come to one of our Women by Grace Bible Studies, or Men's Bible Studies, ESL, or MOP's (Mother's of Preschoolers) so that you can begin to experience life the way it was meant to be lived - in authentic, life enhancing and life-changing community.
Serving inside and outside the walls of the church is essential at Koza Baptist Church. When we become a Christian, God gives us salvation and the hope of eternity in heaven. He also gives us purpose and significance in our lives. He has given each of us the opportunity to serve others and make a real difference in our world. When you serve others in Jesus' name, you’re ministering. God didn't design ministry for just a few people. At Koza, we believe that every member of our church is a minister. We believe that following Christ is about knowing and doing. No matter what your interests or skills are, there is a place where you can make a difference inside or outside the walls of the church building. Opportunities are available for students and adults. Let us help you take your next step in faith by finding your place to connect through serving.
