Family life ministries

OUR VISION:
Family Life Ministry strives to equip children and partner with families to become followers of Christ on Mission with God.

OUR STRATEGY:
At Koza we are always looking for the best way to connect children to God, their families, their community, and their world!

Here, we combine the two primary influences that impact a child's life.

THE LIGHT OF THE CHURCH + THE LOVE OF THE FAMILY

WE want to partner with YOU, the family, to help children discover and embrace a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Two combined influences make a greater impact.

Where do i check-in my kids?

If you are new to Koza, Stop by the Welcome Desk in the foyer and the First Impressions Team (FIT) will assist you in registering your child and showing you to their classroom.

If your children have been registered at Koza proceed to the Check-In Station on the right of the Foyer where someone will assist you from the Check In Team.

 • Nursery & Pre-school: The Reef classrooms are located in the hallway to the right in the main foyer.

 • K-5th Grade: Koza Kids classrooms are located in the upstairs hallway.

 • 6-12th Grade Students: We ask that students from this age group attend weekend services with their families and attend Rooted Student Ministries on Sunday afternoons at 2pm. The classroom is located on the second floor to the right.

Check-in & security policy

Check-in begins 30 minutes prior to every service. A member of the Check-In Team is stationed at the Check-In Station. Being early for service will assist greatly with an easy check-in process. The average time for Check in is 3 minutes at Koza.

An ID sticker (issued at check-in) is given to each child and each parent and is required for the child to enter their classroom and at check-out to pickup your child.

Thank you for partnering with us as we seek to keep your children safe while they are in our care.

Cry room

We know, babies cry and we know you want to be in church.  That is why we have a cry room where you can view and hear the service.  Please enjoy our cry room and know this season will pass.  Soon your crying baby will be asking for car keys, so don't miss this phase and don't miss church.  The Cry Room is located just before you enter the Worship Center on the right.

feeding room

We have a mom's only feeding room if you would like a quiet place for feeding/nursing.  It is located across from the vending machine.  Using the Koza APP, you can watch the livestream on your phone or tablet.  Please ask someone from our FIT team to lead you to our room dedicated on weekends for nursing moms and babies.

Volunteer

Invest in the next generation — by giving a little of your time, you can make a huge and eternal impact in the lives of children at Koza Baptist Church.  Those who invest in the lives of Children help us fuel the faith of the next generation by helping kids discover and embrace a growing relationship with Jesus.

There are many areas that you can serve in, some of them are: Nursery, The Reef, Koza Kids, and Rooted Student Ministry.

Equip Family Discipleship Training

Equip Family Discipleship Training

At Equip, Family Discipleship Training families of all ages, sizes and stages can learn how to use Time, Moments, and Milestones to disciple their children. This nine-week study will take us through the book called Family Discipleship, by Chandler and Griffin.

“One of the greatest responsibilities all Christians parents have is to be disciple makers in their homes. Discipling your family can feel like an intimidating task, but it doesn’t need to be overwhelming or complicated. With a simple plan in place, discipleship is something every parent can do.”
- Family Discipleship

We will meet  for testimony/teaching and worship in a large group and then split into small groups for discussion.
